making the warp from yarn for a round weaving

How to make a round doodle weaving:

1. Established up the warp (these are the vertical threads). I did this by cutting a total bunch of threads and then taping them to the aspect of the hoop. I did not evaluate, just eye-balled. I also loosely taped the hanging threads up to the side which is why it appears like there is so a great deal tape.

3. I use a “shoelace” approach when weaving whereby I wrap the conclusion of the yarn with a piece of tape so that it’s less difficult to weave with. This is simply because I are not able to come across my plastic weaving needles. But it is also due to the fact I just cannot see properly sufficient to thread the needle. This procedure operates truly effectively for me. It’s quick and straightforward.

4. You really do not have to go from bottom to best when doodle weaving. You can start wherever and transfer all over until eventually it’s all crammed up. I finally want to weave like I would attract, but for now I instinctively go base to prime. You can also go back in and fill areas if there are gaps. The fork actually allows to make it all limited.

5. When concluded, I pulled off the blue tape that I employed to loosely maintain the finishes, but I remaining the tape that retains the warp. I designed positive you could not see it when placing the outer hoop around the internal hoop. Tighten the outer hoop as tight as you can.
