Lavenders | The Unfathomable Artist
“Lavenders” [7th August 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist, drawing with HB, 4B and 8B pencils, signed in black ink on 280gsm 250mm x 300mm gesso primed canvas [pad], digitally edited graphic 3178 x 2694 pixels.

I produced “Lavenders” within 50 minutes. Trying to keep the composition and drawing easy, however beautiful on the canvas.

If you glimpse quite closely at the depth with a magnifying glass or zoom in on the artwork with a computer system or smartphone, the pencil get the job done appears superfine. I did not desire to add further more detail to “Lavenders”. Largely as the thought replicates dried flowers and vegetation pressings you see stored in horticultural textbooks.

A dried pressings effect is precisely the way I needed this artwork to look, acquiring not too long ago viewed very same on social media.

Listed here is the photograph furnishing the inspiration:

“Lavenders – Photograph” [1st August 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist.

The photograph is great.

Yet another conceptualisation I like about “Lavenders” is this artwork could be wheat. Wheat, barley and maize, oh how I really like these crops! Wholly fascinated by their magnificence and taste as a food items. In likeness to how people today delight at the scent of lavender.

If somebody requested me to explain “Lavenders” in just one term, I would say… delectable.
